AML and KYC Policy

Identity verification and financial crime prevention

This Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Know Your Customer (KYC) Policy explains how CBCMI Ltd conducts risk-based checks on brokerage account applicants and account holders to reduce the risk that accounts or related payments are misused for money laundering, terrorist financing, breaches of applicable sanctions or other unlawful activity. Checks may take place before an account is opened and while it is in use. A referral code or registration request does not exempt an applicant from these checks.

Restricted Jurisdictions and Sanctions

We do not offer brokerage accounts to residents of the United States, Iran or North Korea. Applications from those residents will be declined. We also do not provide services where doing so would breach applicable sanctions or other law. Sanctions restrictions may apply to particular individuals or organisations regardless of where they reside. Our Terms of Use explain how restricted applications and existing accounts are handled.

Identity and Account Information

We may request information and supporting documents to verify an applicant's identity, contact details and authority to act for another person. For a company or other entity, we may also request information about its representatives and beneficial owners. Information provided to us must be accurate and kept up to date.

Source of Funds and Intended Use

Depending on the circumstances, we may ask about the source of funds, the intended use of an account, and the source or destination of payments. We will explain what evidence is required and how to provide it during the relevant review.

Ongoing Review

After an account is opened, we may review account information, trading activity, deposits and withdrawals, and ask for updated information or an explanation where appropriate. The scope of a review depends on the circumstances and the risks identified.

Measures During a Review

If material information cannot be verified, or there are reasonable grounds to suspect misuse, we may, to the extent permitted by applicable law and the relevant account conditions, place an application, trade, deposit or withdrawal request on hold, or restrict account use to the extent necessary. An application may be declined where there are reasonable grounds. We review such measures in light of the information obtained. Completing a review does not guarantee account approval or continued access to a service.

Cooperation with Authorities

We provide information to competent authorities when required by law. We may be unable to disclose details of a review or report where disclosure is prohibited by law or would prejudice an investigation.

Safe Submission and Privacy

Do not send identity documents, bank details or other confidential records through the Request Registration or Contact forms. Use only the submission method separately communicated to you by CBCMI Ltd. Our Privacy Notice covers information submitted through this website. Additional privacy information may be provided with account-opening materials.
